Corporate Christmas Gifts That Never Go Out Of Fashion
It's that time of year and while we are all celebrating the first day of summer, we know there is a lot to do as the year comes to an end.
Festive Season gifts have become something that many companies choose to not participate in, and for good reason. With so many different religious and non-religious beliefs, it can be deemed politically incorrect to send a card or a Christmas gift, so the easiest thing to do is to give to your favourite charity in lieu of giving gifts.
However, for those that still love the gift of giving, here are some really fabulous corporate gift ideas:
- Give to your charity of choice: The Smith Family, St Vincent de Paul, Salvation Army, Breast Cancer Foundation, Ozchild or not-for-profits such as The World Incubator, are all good ways to show your clients that you care, and that your culture has purpose.
- Gift baskets never go out of fashion: Support local farmers and do up your own gift basket with all Australian produce, explaining where the produce came from and why you choose to support the Australian farming industry.
- Australian wines: Not everyone drinks alcohol so be selective of who you give this to, however, supporting small boutique wine cellars is always a great way to connect your clients to the local Australian wine industry and support those who may not have the money to invest in expensive marketing campaigns, but nevertheless have great wine.
- Reusable coffee mugs and water cups: Show your clients that sustainability means something to your business by giving them reusable drink containers with inspirational messages on them.
- Artwork: Of course artwork is subjectable, however I always find giving an up-and-coming Australian artist your money is a good thing. Most offices can do with a splash of art, so it's less an issue than you may think. I often give April Spadina charcoals to big clients as a 'thank you' and they always rave about it.
- Crowdfunding gifts: They may not be ready yet, but they may be coming. All the smart ideas out there in the world need supporting and giving a crowdfunding gift is not only great for buddying entrepreneurs, but it also allows your clients to follow their journey and be engaged by the gift.
- Books: A selection of your favourite authors that you know will resonate with your clients is a great gift. Don't think too much because if they already have one of the books, they will share it with someone else which is positive and in the spirit of the festive season.
- Diaries: Stay away from bulk ordering diaries as they are very uncool. Your logo on a diary is so yesterday. Instead, go down the shops or online and find diaries that will mean something to your clients. Choose different suppliers according to the tastes of your clients.
