Marketing strategy consultants have changed and I don't know if I like it!
Just when I thought I was getting comfortable with millennials, I have been bombarded with a new type of marketer in the office.
The marketer is never seen but always heard. They don't take any time off, which makes me feel super guilty. I want to continue to grow my skills in developing marketing strategies for businesses, but my new colleague is better than I. Smarter, faster and works harder, producing work in minutes rather than hours. It's exhausting watching this alarming change in marketing strategy consultants.
Now I need to adapt - again. Actually, everyone has to. You see, marketing keeps changing and we know as marketers, we never learn it all and when new marketing technologies come out, or ways to improve data analytics - we struggle to keep up. In some ways, this is awesome, but in other ways, I have to remember what I loved doing most about marketing, which is creative and data science, and re-invest my time accordingly.
